Readable spacing and indentation. The sample should still print the sum 108 when executed; formatting itself does not execute it.

Format Python source toward PEP 8 style with autopep8 running locally through the browser Python runtime, while preserving a downloadable source file.

A WORKED TASK
Make Python spacing consistent without rewriting its purpose
The sample uses cramped operators, extra call spacing and a short function indentation. Run the formatter and compare its output against the original. Save the formatted .py file separately, then run it with the same data in the playground before adopting it in a project.
This uses autopep8 in the browser runtime, not Black, Ruff or a guarantee of full PEP 8 compliance. Formatting cannot repair faulty logic or safely infer missing code.
What to check
- Fix an incomplete statement before formatting; a formatter is not an automatic programming tutor.
- Review multiline strings and comments after a large transformation.
- Keep a copy of the original source so unexpected layout changes can be compared.
TESTED & REVIEWED
Know what this tool does—and where to double-check
- Reviewed by
- HTML Online Viewer project

- Processing
- Code and supported files are processed in this browser tab. Runtime tools download Python WebAssembly, but do not intentionally upload your source.
- Important limitation
- The browser runtime is intentionally isolated and may not include every desktop package, system command or network feature. Verify production programs in their target Python environment.
EXAMPLE INPUT
Start small, then use your own data

COMMON QUESTIONS
Python Formatter FAQ
Does this upload my code or files?
No. Processing happens locally in your browser. Runtime tools download Python itself, but your source is not sent to our server.
Why can the first Python run take longer?
The browser downloads and starts the Python WebAssembly runtime. Later runs in the same tab are normally much faster.
Can I stop a program that takes too long?
Yes. Runtime tools show a Stop button while Python is working. Stopping terminates the isolated worker and a clean runtime starts when needed.
