URL Parser & Query String Tool
Inspect a URL protocol, origin, host, path, query parameters and fragment without visiting the destination.
Ready in your browser
Your processed result will appear here.
A WORKED TASK
Break a URL into understandable parts
Paste the example URL and inspect the protocol, origin, host, path, query parameters and fragment. source=javascript and mode=learn belong to the query string. The examples fragment follows # and is separate from those query values. This inspection does not visit the pasted destination.
The current interface inspects URL components; it is not a website fetcher, link-safety scanner or interactive query-string editor. Parsing successfully does not prove that a destination exists or is trustworthy.
What to check
- Include the scheme, such as https://, rather than pasting only a hostname.
- Repeated query keys can appear more than once in the output.
- Remove credentials, reset tokens or private query values before sharing a URL with anyone.
TESTED & REVIEWED
Know what this tool does—and where to double-check
- Reviewed by
- HTML Online Viewer project
- Last reviewed
- Processing
- Ordinary processing happens in this browser tab; the tool does not intentionally upload your source.
- Important limitation
- JavaScript checks and transformations cannot prove that application logic is correct. Test the result in its real project before publishing.
